Peter Collins
Construction Director
Peter is 62 and has been in construction all his life. After initial training Peter spent many years working on gaining further knowledge and training for his personal progression within the industry. Rising through the ranks from assistant manager through to Construction Director.
Peter Joined Total in 2016 and is happiest when out on site in the middle of the construction activities, passing on his experiences and doing what he is best at – building.
Peter is driven by quality which leads to client retention and the need for Total to perform beyond the clients’ expectations.
Peter has a personal need to understand how the operations within each project all fit together and how the components and systems work and always wants to know the detail.
Peter is well liked by the operatives and management our on site. He always has time for those carrying out the work and talks to them to ensure they always have what they need to complete their works safely and to the right level of quality.
Neil Baker
Commercial Director
Neil is 59 and before forming Total in 1999, had previously been in the role of Chief Surveyor with a major construction company. Before this Neil experienced working with many contractors but enjoys the hands-on approach and the involvement he gets at Total.
Neil ensures all the commercial processes run like clockwork inside Total and that clients and design teams are always kept aware of projected final accounts, and that suppliers and subcontractors are always paid.
In addition, Neil likes and understands the detail of the construction process and offers energy and enthusiasm to the process of value engineering. He is accurate and thorough and makes sure the commercial operations are run efficiently, add value to the project teams, and support the construction process.
Neil is popular with everybody and enjoys the time available with Total to do a job properly.
