Feltonfleet School
Project description:
The project involves structural works including the rebuilding of Gable on the western elevation, tying and restraint strapping works to second floor and roof on 3 gables and brick stitching with localised re-pointing to the main building.
The main school, the part of which is Listed, compromises a three storey building with gable walls build predominately in red brick with blue bricks laid in a diaper pattern. The roof pitches are finished in plain clay tiles and the gables have a crow-stepped parapet more common in the C16 terraced housing in the Netherlands and Flanders. The stepped coping is a terracotta roll topped coping tile with curved slopes. The building incorporates complex brick chimney stacks and gothic arched opening.
